July 25 - Day 7

Woke up to our alarm at 6:00 am and then woke the kids up (who were all still SOUND asleep).  Headed to the high school to see the hot air balloons!  They never arrived.  Thumbs down to that.  Headed to the pancake breakfast where we met up with Grama & Grampa Puppy.  Went to the craft fair/petting zoo!  Had fun petting the animals - especially the pony (who tried to eat Andlie's arm during the photo).  Bryan worked the soap booth (Grama's homemade soap) at the fair while me & the kids went to Shennie's air conditioned house & had lunch and a nap.  A very much needed nap.  For all.  Woke up & headed to the dedication of the statue!  During the dedicatory prayer, Haze did indeed fold his arms, but he kept his eyes wide open & marched around as well.  Enjoyed a family BBQ at Grama & Grampa's house.  Sat on Daddy's motorcycle that lives there.  Went & played at the park with Jenny & Graeson and Tony, Leslie, Kadri, & Sander.  Tried to go see the hot air balloon flicker after it got dark.  Weren't there again.  Had fun dancing & singing at the outdoor concert anyway.  Headed home & went to bed.

July 24 - Day 6

Woke up & drove to Panaca where we met up with the entire family - Tony & Leslie and gang, Paul & Jenny and gang, and Grama & Grampa Puppy (and Beau)!  Me, Andlie, & Hazey went swimming with Leslie, Kadri, Sander, Jenny, & Graeson!  (I had to buy a swimming suit at the store since I forgot mine.  It was 2 sizes too small & the very last one in the store, but it worked.)  Enjoyed a drive around town and a quick stop to the store.  Poor Nora had a pretty good fever most of the day so she was pretty sad.  We kept her full of medicine & tried to keep her as cool as possible with rags & fans.  Grandma & Grandpa Allen, Lydia & Betsy, Karen & Ken, and Weston & Cara joined us in preparation for the 150 year celebration of Panaca!  The kids enjoyed trying to catch fish at the spring and playing at the park with Daddy while I stayed back with Nora and visited the family.

July 23 - Day 5

Visited Grampa at his work!  Grama showed Haze the fart gun which he carried around for the rest of the day shooting and then laughing at the hilariousness that was ensuing.  Nora took a good nap while we went to Mindy's work for a visit.  Pulled some "indoor fireworks"/celebration pops and then Nora & Andlie used them as hair.  Went with Grampa to the Fire Station where he showed us around & even let us ride in some trucks!  Haze was much more hesitant than Andlie.  Andlie even got to pull the siren!  Nora enjoyed her first ever graham cracker!  She ate the entire thing - no choking!  And then, after baths, Daddy arrived & we were so happy to see him!

July 22 - Day 4

Went to the Tiki Shack for snow cones!  (Finally!)  Haze fell asleep after two bites of his.  (It was blue if the lips didn't tell the story for ya.)  Grama took Andlie to the "ditch park" while I stayed home with sleeping Haze & Nora.  Andlie came home with her clothes sopping wet from jumping/playing in the ditch.  Andlie squirted me with the new super soaker squirt gun Grama bought right when I asked her to take a picture.  Haze did puzzles (his current favorite hobby).  Made & ate some peanut butter chocolate chip cookies.  Went to the Shakespearean Festival Greenshow!  Played in the fountains on campus.  Spent the evening at Granny's visiting.  Lit off fireworks that Grama & Andlie bought!

July 21 - Day 3

Nora woke up happy after finally getting a pretty decent night's sleep!  Played with the big red puppet.  All three kids got a pretty big thrill out of it.  Andlie made a list of things to do ("swim, park/pizza, snorkel, snowcone").  She also played a prank on Bret by gathering all of Nora's dirty diapers from the hall & lining them up outside of Bret's door so he'd have to walk through them to get to his room.  She thought she was pretty hilarious & did her nose-wrinkle, snorting laugh when discussing it. Nora continued to show Grampa extra smiles.  Went swimming with Jarica, Cambrie, Braylee, and Dallin!  Had a pizza picnic at the park with the Bensons. 

July 20 - Day 2

Pretty relaxing morning.  Shooting guns.  Hanging out in our jammies.  You know, the usual.  Crimped Andlie's hair with my old crimper (or as Andlie calls it, a "cronker").  Church.  Haze turned the lights off in the cultural hall during Sacrament.  Grama gave Andlie her surprise - snorkles!  Immediately tried them on & made sure she could breathe through them.  Nora turned Grampa into her own personal best friend forever.  Played in Grama's backyard & even got Bret to swim in (and cannonball into) the pool with us!  And I ate Summer squash straight from Grama's garden.  Delicious.

July 19 - Summer Adventure: Day 1

Today was the start of our two week Summer adventure!  We left Daddy at home this morning and made it to Cedar around 3:00.  We had a pretty good trip!  Haze wore "crispy unders" and Nora slept.  Until Beaver where everything sorta came un-glued.  Haze had to get woken up so we could go inside so Andlie could pee.  He hates to be woken up and he was making that fact known to everyone within two miles.  Which made Nora sad.  Which made Andlie sad.  Which made me sweat.  When we finally got back to the car, I realized that Nora had pooped up her back so we changed her, got everyone some food, and made it to Cedar without further incident.

After unpacking & dressing up, we spent the evening with Grama & Grampa in New Harmony at Boyd & Paige's beautiful wedding.  We had only one incident, but it ended the game for us.  Poor little Haze folded up in his folding chair & hit his head on the hard floor.  Or as he would say, "I sit on my chair and then BAM!!!  And now I hurt my head."
